Indonesia is the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and is full of ethnic, racial, religious and cultural diversity. As a result of this diversity, there are many different backgrounds in social life. The meeting of these individuals resulted in inter-ethnic marriages, although conflicts often occurred due to differences in background. One of the foreign ethnic groups who entered Indonesia was the Chinese ethnic. This causes Chinese culture to enter and expand in Indonesia. Establishing ethnic Chinese in Indonesia led to marriages between ethnic Chinese and ethnic Indigenous people. As a result of the marriage, many ethnic Chinese began to follow the culture of the local community. This causes Chinese culture to fade and causes today's children, especially those of Chinese ethnicity, to not participate in preserving Chinese culture, especially because of the influence of westernization. This "Cina KW" short film helps remind people about Chinese culture and also reminds them to respect each other between ethnic. This film also shows a bit of Minang culture. In Minang culture, they adhere to a matrilineal system, where their offspring will follow the mother's line. Through this film, the writer hopes that young people, especially of Chinese millennials, will start to participate in preserving Chinese culture and can appreciate the differences between ethnic. This film is based on research that has been carried out by means of interviews and art references related to the Chinese film KW.
